Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Women's Emergency Department (OB Triage) position at a high-volume Level IV Maternal Designation facility in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience and NRP certification.

- Position is based in the Women's Emergency Department (previously known as OB Triage) at a Level IV Maternal Designation facility
- The facility includes 26 LDR suites, 6 C-section suites, 14 Women's Emergency Department rooms, 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 14 monitored antepartum beds
- High-risk, fast-paced environment performing 500+ deliveries per month
- Academic teaching service with large private OB practices
- 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Facility operates a Perinatal Transport Program
- Night shift: 18:45–07:15
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact license with TX privileges required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP (AAP)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery or perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required
- Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
- Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Full DOB and full SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Nurses in this role will provide care to high-risk obstetric patients in a busy Women's Emergency Department setting
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification is preferred
- 3–5 years of perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume setting is preferred
- Local candidates are eligible to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may qualify at a different pay rate
- COVID vaccination is not required by this facility
