Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a critical care position requiring at least 1.5 years of recent experience, telemetry skills, and a NH or Compact RN license.
Details
- 10-bed ICU unit focused on critical care for medically and surgically complex patients with unstable vital functions
- Patient population includes critically unstable individuals with conditions ranging from acute coronary syndrome to unstable hemodynamics
- Each patient room is equipped with an electric therapeutic bed, emergency call system, cardiac monitoring with additional monitoring modules, and wall-mounted documentation station
- Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 depending on patient acuity, isolation needs, and RN experience
- 12-hour shifts on a day/night rotation
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Schedule is 36 or 48 hours per week
Requirements
- Active NH RN license or Compact RN license required; proof of state residency required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN preferred
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU or equivalent critical care experience required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Telemetry experience required
- Two manager references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide 24-hour critical care nursing with an emphasis on rapid recognition and treatment of life-threatening complications and total patient care
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position — local candidates will not be considered
