Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring advanced telemetry experience and a NH or Compact RN license.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a)
• Every other weekend required
• Placed within the Nursing Float Pool, with potential floating to other units within the facility
• Advanced telemetry experience required, including Cardizem and insulin drips (hyperglycemia management), and Phenobarbital on telemetry
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required — temp licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in a Med/Surg or related specialty
• Advanced telemetry experience required
• 3 professional references required upon commitment (2 must be from leadership — managers or charge RNs; no peers or coworkers)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
• Weekly orientation provided
• Former permanent staff may return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a local pay rate
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
