Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for orthopedic trauma and post-op patients
• Specialized procedures include blood administration and wound vac management
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends required based on scheduling needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience required
• Orthopedic trauma and post-operative care experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Active professional license at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide post-operative care management for orthopedic trauma patients, including blood administration and wound vac management
• Solid navy blue scrubs required for licensed nursing personnel; solid-color tops only (no prints)
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
