Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Orthopedic trauma care including post-op care management, blood administration, and wound vac management
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Weekends required per scheduling needs
- Floating between units and all facilities within the state is expected
- No on-call responsibilities
- EMR: Epic (required)
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or valid Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Experience with orthopedic trauma post-op care, blood administration, and wound vac management required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide med/surg telemetry nursing care with a focus on orthopedic trauma post-op patients
- Solid navy blue scrubs required; print tops are not acceptable attire
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of the assignment
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Free surface parking is available on site
