Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro position at a 536-bed acute care teaching hospital in Oregon, working night shifts with on-call responsibilities and floating requirements across multiple facilities.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 536 total staff beds, designated as a teaching hospital
- Medical Surgical Neuro unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- On-call required: if a shift is cancelled, candidates must remain available on call
- Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
- Floating between units is expected based on skill set
- Travelers may be floated to multiple facilities across the state, including locations in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
- Scrubs: any color accepted
Requirements
- Active Oregon RN license required
- Current NIHSS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or neurovascular acute care experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- A personal vehicle is required for this assignment
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent employees of a Providence facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the submitting facility
- Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility in any capacity (permanent, travel, or per diem) must disclose the location(s) and dates worked
- Minimal RTO is expected for this assignment; a small number of days may be approved but significant RTO requests may impact candidacy
- Travelers who refuse float assignments may be subject to termination of their assignment
- Free parking is available on site
