Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Operating Room position at an acute care hospital in Burbank, CA, requiring 2 years of OR experience and on-call availability.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 392 staffed beds
- Operating Room unit with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- On-call required: 4–6 calls per 6-week period; weekday call hours are 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, weekend call hours are 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Weekend requirement limited to on-call shifts only
- Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
- Floating between all facilities within the state is expected; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Charting system: Medatech; Epic experience required
- Free parking available
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent employees of the Providence health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration; minimal RTO is preferred
- 13-week assignment
