Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position in Worcester, MA, requiring a MA RN license and a minimum of 3 years of ICU experience across all adult ICUs and step-down units.
Details
- Critical care float position in a hospital setting, rotating across all adult ICUs and step-down units
- Float assignments cover all adult ICU types; travelers will not be assigned to post cardiac surgery, balloon pump, Impella, transplant, or EVD patients
- Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Any call-outs must be made up at the end of the assignment
- 13-week contract based in Worcester, MA
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- 5 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Candidates must have a clear nursing license with no prior disciplinary history
Additional Information
- Candidates must be comfortable floating between all adult ICU departments and step-down; those not comfortable with this scope should not apply
- Orientation includes two pass/fail exams — a medication exam and a telemetry exam — each with only one attempt allowed; failing either results in immediate contract cancellation
- Study materials will be provided during the compliance process and facility-directed in-services (FDIs)
- A pass/fail EKG test is also required as part of orientation
