Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring prior travel experience, Cerner proficiency, and Level 2 L&D experience.

• Hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Night shift schedule: 18:45–07:15 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Every third weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate; AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Level 2 L&D experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR required, no exceptions
• Required skills include: administration of blood/blood products, CVC/PICC line management, peripheral IV insertion and maintenance, medication administration (anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, heparin, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, oxytocin), newborn assessment, neonatal abstinence syndrome care, pain management (opioids, pain assessment), couplet care, baby-friendly protocols, IV antibiotics, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, circumcision assistance, cord care, car seat education, discharge teaching, and isolation precautions
• Preferred skills include: phototherapy, circumcision care parent education, thermoregulation, large for gestational age and low birth weight infant care, pain management (epidural, PCA IV), and breastfeeding pump support
• Must provide a copy of driver's license and Social Security card for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Charge nurse experience preferred
• CPI certification will be required starting January 2026
• Navy blue scrubs required
