Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract requiring a NY RN license and at least 1 year of OR experience across diverse surgical specialties.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Diverse surgical caseload including orthopedic/total joint and trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Extensive procedural exposure including laparoscopic, robotic (Da Vinci Xi), endoscopic, open vascular, thoracic, spinal, and reconstructive cases
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (11:00–21:30)
• On-call required
• Local candidates not accepted — must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Epic EMR preferred
• Block scheduling will be accommodated when possible but is not guaranteed

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required — pending licensure not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties required, including ortho/total joint, trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic
• Phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement skills required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Teal scrubs required
• RTO requests should be minimal — all scheduling requests must be submitted upfront
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
