Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a critical access hospital, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a willingness to float to Med/Surg.

Details

• Work setting is a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Primary assignment is in the Labor & Delivery unit with rotation across L&D, postpartum, nursery, and Med/Surg
• Position is expected to be at least half-time Med/Surg coverage when OB census is low
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to Med/Surg is a core expectation of this role
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active RN license — MO state license or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Prior Med/Surg experience is not required — orientation to the unit will be provided
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities span labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery, and Med/Surg support
• When OB census is low, the nurse may take Med/Surg patients or assist on the unit as a helper
• Orientation to the Med/Surg unit is provided
• Two professional references required for consideration
