Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position in the Treasure Valley region, requiring 5+ years of experience and strong OASIS proficiency.

Details

  • Home health care setting serving patients in the Treasure Valley region
  • Post-acute care environment with a geographically concentrated patient territory
  • Typically 5–6 routine patient visits per day, with travel time kept to approximately 15–20 minutes between visits
  • Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM schedule with rotating weekend on-call
  • 8-hour shifts
  • EMR: Epic (Remote Client); Epic experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active Idaho (ID) or Compact RN license required; must be active and in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience required
  • Prior home health nursing experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of Medicare homebound criteria and OASIS documentation required
  • Ability to independently determine primary skill for each visit (hands-on, direct, observe/assess, education, or M&E)
  • Valid driver's license required
  • 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

  • Clinicians are paired with a preceptor during a brief orientation period; after orientation, the traveler may start and end their day from home
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
  • Former permanent employees of this health system must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
  • No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted
