Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, working 3x12 night shifts with floating required.
Details
- Work setting is a 562-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility
- Assignment is in the Surgical ICU (SICU)
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Every other weekend is required
- Floating is required for all travelers, within scope to other ICUs or affiliate hospitals nearby
- Charting is done in Cerner
- Parking is available at no cost with a permit obtained during orientation
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
Requirements
- Active Illinois (IL) RN license required
- Active certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of SICU or ICU experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodable; requests beyond 5 days require facility approval
- Scrubs may be any solid color
- Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility
- Candidates are encouraged to begin searching for housing early, as availability in the area is limited
