Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool role, floating to other MS/Tele units as needed
• Patient population includes adult medical, surgical, and cardiac patients
• Telemetry monitoring is performed on the unit
• Respiratory Therapy covers specialty IV administration; RNs are expected to maintain primary IV skills
• Cerner EMR is used
• Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6, with the possibility of flexing up to 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Self-scheduling and blocked scheduling are permitted
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience required
• Float pool experience preferred
• PCU/Step-Down experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restriction applies
• Black scrubs required
• RTO for holidays is generally not approved; one holiday exception may be considered on a case-by-case basis
