Description

American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist (Mammographer/DEXA Technologist) with ARRT registration and at least 1 year of mammography experience to join a radiology team in a small community hospital setting.

Radiology department in a small community hospital setting
Performs diagnostic mammography and DEXA imaging
Day shift schedule
13-week contract with 36 hours per week

Requirements

ARRT registration required
Mammography license or certification required if applicable
Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field preferred
Proficiency with EMR systems required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow radiation safety protocols precisely
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Information

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining mammography equipment, positioning and compressing patients for optimal image acquisition, and evaluating images for quality
Duties also include maintaining detailed patient records and educating patients on the importance of regular breast health screenings
May assist physicians during diagnostic procedures
Must be comfortable working as part of a small, collaborative team
Willingness to adjust schedule to accommodate team time-off requests is expected
Pre-employment drug test and background check required
