Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Florence, AL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and working night shifts on a 13-week contract.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting, located on the 3rd floor with 9 beds
• Adult patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Common diagnoses and treatments include normal spontaneous labor, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, placenta previa, placental abruption, fetal distress, umbilical cord prolapse, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to postpartum required
• EHR systems: Centricity and Meditech
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS or ALS-OB, NRP, and EFM
• Minimum of 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and assessment, emergency response, postpartum care, and time management
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Weekly orientation is held on Mondays
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue; non-compliant colors, scrubs with slogans or graphics, and inappropriate footwear are not permitted
