Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Marshall, MI, requiring at least 2 years of birthing center experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Work setting is a hospital birthing center
• Patient population includes laboring patients, delivery (including newborn care at delivery), and postpartum (mothers and babies)
• Rotating holidays and weekends required
• On-call responsibilities required on a rotating basis for holidays and weekends
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• NRP certification preferred; candidates without active NRP will be considered but must be willing to obtain it
• Minimum 2 years of current Birthing Center experience required
• Experience with laboring patients, delivery, and postpartum care required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing professional nursing care using critical thinking and independent judgment across all phases of the nursing process
• Directs and supervises the patient care team, which may include CNAs, LPNs, and other techs
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams in the provision of patient care
• Timely documentation of patient care, condition, reactions, and response to treatment is expected
• RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the contract
