Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and active ACLS/BLS certifications.

Details

• Work setting is a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient population requires telemetry monitoring and IV therapy
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Weekday schedule with occasional weekend rotation
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Proficiency with IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Epic EMR familiarity preferred
• Two professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; second reference may be from a Charge RN; no coworker references accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply once they have been away for 6 months or more
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly upon accepting the position — candidates outside of Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will be mailed a packet to complete urgently
