Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Perioperative/PACU RN for a 13-week contract in Pagosa Springs, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency with Cerner EHR.

Details

• Outpatient surgical setting serving perioperative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) patients
• Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, interventional pain management, and gastroenterology/endoscopy
• Perioperative RN may serve in the role of Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on experience and training
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Weekday schedule with a choice of five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license currently in good standing
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
• CNOR certification required
• Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience
• Experience in orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, interventional pain management, and gastroenterology/endoscopy procedures required
• Cerner EHR experience required
• Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred but not required)

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating safe, effective, and patient/family-centered care across all phases of the perioperative process: pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative
• Acts as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems
• Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
