Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Perioperative/PACU RN for a 13-week contract in Pagosa Springs, CO, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency with Cerner EHR.
Details
- Outpatient surgical setting serving perioperative and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) patients
- Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, interventional pain management, and gastroenterology/endoscopy
- Perioperative RN may serve in the role of Circulating Nurse, 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse, or 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on experience and training
- Uses Cerner EHR
- Weekday schedule with a choice of five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license currently in good standing
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
- CNOR certification required
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience
- Experience in orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, interventional pain management, and gastroenterology/endoscopy procedures required
- Cerner EHR experience required
- Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred but not required)
Additional Information
- Responsible for coordinating safe, effective, and patient/family-centered care across all phases of the perioperative process: pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative
- Acts as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems
- Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
