Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Lab position at a Level II Trauma Center in Hudson, FL, requiring EP/CVT experience and the ability to both monitor and scrub EP cases.

Details

• Position is based in the EP/Electrophysiology Lab (Unit 775) of a 309-bed Level II Trauma Center
• The EP Lab consists of 2 labs staffed with RNs and CVT techs
• Day shift hours are 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Typical procedures include A-Fib ablations, EP diagnostics, ablations, device insertions, and TEE/cardioversion
• Equipment used includes GE X-ray system and Claris hemodynamic system
• EMR systems used are MacLab and Meditech
• Travelers are scheduled every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital employees
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent EP/Cath Lab RN experience required
• EP/CVT experience is required — candidates must be able to both monitor and scrub EP cases
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required (Florida requirement)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform EP nursing care including monitoring and scrubbing EP cases such as A-Fib ablations, device insertions, and TEE/cardioversion
• Cath Lab experience is preferred and will be given priority consideration
• The unit is known for a robust EP program, a great team, and experienced physicians
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Navy blue scrubs are required for RNs
• Parking is available anywhere on campus except the ER parking area
