Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a NICU-based position at a children's hospital, requiring at least 2 years of NICU experience and availability to work every weekend on nights.
Details
- NICU home unit at a children's hospital, with floating to PICU and some Pediatric Acute Care as needed
- Primary work in Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Home unit assignment (NICU, PICU, or Peds) determined upon arrival and may shift based on facility need
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every weekend required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current IN or Compact RRT license in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, and NRP
- PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
- Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required; experience at a Level 1 adult facility may also be considered
- NICU or PICU experience required
- L&D experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates (Indiana residents) are accepted for this Allied position
- Candidates must be comfortable working every weekend
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Former permanent or PRN employees of this facility must have been away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within this health system must take a consecutive break before resetting eligibility: 90 days for out-of-state residents, 180 days for in-state residents
- AHA and RQI certifications are both accepted and must be current
- Travelers may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility
