Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications, with rotating evening and night shifts every other weekend.

Details

Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of an acute care hospital
Rotating schedule combining evening (3:00 PM–3:00 AM) and night (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) shifts, based on unit needs
3x12-hour shifts per week
Required to work every other weekend and assigned holidays
No block scheduling
No on-call requirements
No floating requirements
EMR system: Meditech

Requirements

Active PA or Compact RN license required
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
Prior emergency department nursing experience required
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Additional Information

All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
13-week contract

Staff is Very friendly and helpful. They provide scrubs. Easy work.

Cons

Difficulty finding a place to stay around here. They won't schedule you in blocks and you have to find someone to switch. NOTHING to do around town- everything closes at 5.
