Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk L&D experience and Epic proficiency, working nights in a hospital setting.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- High-risk patient population including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
- Antepartum (AP) patients also included in scope of care
- Patient ratios: 1:2 for laboring patients, 1:3 for antepartum patients
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Some weekend shifts required
- Floating between all facilities within the state is expected and required
- No on-call required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required, including active management of laboring patients and maternal emergencies
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Professional license must be active at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Manage high-risk laboring patients including those with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, and VBAC/TOLAC cases
- Perform induction and augmentation of labor and respond to maternal emergencies
- Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of the assignment
- Former permanent staff of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Minimal RTO is expected for this position
