Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 733 staffed beds
- Level III Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital
- Works with both adult and pediatric patients in the ICU
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00–06:00
- Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to sister campus
- Charting in Epic (experience required)
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
- Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric ICU patients
- Active state or compact RRT license required; pending licensure not accepted — license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Solid black or black-and-white scrubs required
- Pre-start facility modules required (approximately 4–10 hours)
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days per contract
- Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning
- Travelers on night shift may extend up to twice before needing to be away for 6 months prior to returning
- Any missed scheduled shifts may require a makeup shift at the department's discretion
