Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, with PICC line management experience required.
Details
- CVICU unit within a 562-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility
- Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:08 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week; open to 4x12 block schedule arrangements
- Every third weekend required
- Floating within scope is required and may include floating to an affiliate hospital nearby
- Charting performed in Cerner (experience preferred)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required, or must be actively in the application process with an ETA
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU or relevant RN experience required
- PICC line management and IV start experience required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
- Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodable; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
- Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Travel pairs are not accepted
- Scrubs may be any solid color
- Free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation
