Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Portland, OR, requiring Epic proficiency, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
- Emergency Department setting with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other units and facilities across Oregon is expected based on skill set and facility needs
- Epic EMR required
- No on-call required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active OR RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
- First-time travelers welcome with 3+ years of ED experience
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Travelers may float to facilities in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent based on unit needs
- Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- When floating to Seaside from a non-Seaside facility, travelers receive a $5/hr incentive for hours worked at Seaside plus IRS mileage reimbursement
- When floating consecutive shifts to Seaside, a hotel accommodation is provided
- Scrub color is open to any color for ED staff
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Previous work history at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates
