Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and the ability to float across multiple critical care units.
Details
- Float pool position covering multiple Critical Care Units including SICU, MICU, CCU, and Oncology ICU
- SICU primarily cares for trauma patients, surgical complications, neuro patients, and post open-heart surgery patients
- MICU cares for critically ill patients with exacerbated medical comorbidities
- CCU cares for patients who have had cardiac procedures requiring additional monitoring
- Oncology ICU cares for critically ill oncology patients and those requiring chemo inductions
- All ICU units also manage DKA, ETOH withdrawal, and other patients requiring an elevated level of care
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required, including both Saturday and Sunday
- Holiday coverage may be required for any holidays that fall within the assignment period
- Flexible scheduling is preferred
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required
- A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate must be adaptable and comfortable floating across four distinct critical care environments
- Two professional references are required for consideration
