Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, with interventional cardiac cath lab experience required.

Details

• Works in a 5-room Cardiac Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25 patients
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Requires working 2–3 weekends per contract
• On-call required as needed
• Floating within scope is required, including potential floats to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Procedures include: circulating, diagnostic adult catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring is required
• Charting performed in Cerner (experience required)
• Setting: 562-bed acute care hospital — Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Interventional cardiac cath lab experience required
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
• Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• RTO is ideally no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
• Candidates must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major holidays falling within the contract period
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking is available on-site with a permit obtained during orientation
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
