Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a 13-week travel contract, requiring at least one year of IV nursing experience and proficiency with central line care.
Details
- Position is on an inpatient Oncology unit
- Day shift schedule: 4x9.5-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active OR RN license required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required within 6 months of hire
- Completion of oncology-specific CEUs required each accreditation cycle to support CoC and NAPBC accreditations
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in IV nursing or equivalent background in oncology, med/surg, critical care, or home infusion
- Proficiency in the care, maintenance, and accessing of central lines required
- OCN certification preferred
- 2 years of oncology-focused IV nursing including administration of chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood products preferred
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
