Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a high-volume academic medical center, requiring NRP and AWHONN intermediate certification with night shift availability.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within an academic medical center environment
• Serves both low-risk (including certified nurse midwife population) and high-risk (maternal fetal medicine) obstetric patients
• Unit features 8 private labor rooms, 4 private triage beds, and 2 OB operating rooms, with approximately 2,000 deliveries annually
• Cross-training to Mother/Baby is expected, with potential floating to NICU (feeders/growers)
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required; pending VA license will be accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, and AWHONN Intermediate
• OB OR experience requires both circulate and scrub experience
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration
