Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion RN for a day shift, Monday–Friday position requiring ONS chemotherapy credentials and Epic experience in a Florida hospital setting.
Details
- Oncology Infusion unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00–17:30)
- 13-week contract
- Administers chemotherapy per physician orders and facility policies
- Utilizes appropriate PPE for chemotherapy administration
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (both via AHA or ARC), and NIH Stroke Scale
- ONS chemotherapy administration credentials required; ONC certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursing degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) with at least 2 years of consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
- Must complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks, abuse registry review, and screening for disqualifying offenses
- All required certifications must be current at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, providing, and evaluating care for assigned oncology patients based on treatment plans, oncology nursing standards, and individual patient needs
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to establish individualized plans of care
- Administers chemotherapy and educates patients on signs and symptoms of extravasation or chemo leakage
- Must be willing to mentor and coach new staff
- Proof of vaccination status required — declinations are not accepted
- This is a smoke-free facility
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are eligible at a local pay rate
