Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Details

• 55-bed Emergency Department unit
• Charting is done using Epic EMR
• Evening shift: 11:00–23:30
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications (all AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NRP certification required (AHA/AAP)
• TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification required — 8-hour course, renewed every 2 years
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Copy of all certifications and license verification (Nursys) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, and record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate
• Serve as a primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and assess patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Navy scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted, but candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
