Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 4 NICU position requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Level 4 NICU providing high acuity, fast-paced neonatal care
• Patient population includes HIE/therapeutic hypothermia, VLBW/ELBW prematurity, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, heart disease/defects, surgical neonates, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, arrhythmias, congenital birth defects, and renal failure
• Patient age range from neonatal through 1 year, with occasional patients older than 1 year
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2 for ICU status, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• PALS certification (AHA) required
• NRP certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) required
• Minimum 2 years of Neonatal ICU experience required
• Current license and primary source verification, including Nursys, required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients in a high acuity NICU setting
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, with mileage varying by facility
• Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
