Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level 4 NICU position in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

High-acuity, fast-paced Level 4 NICU setting
Patient population includes neonates through 1 year of age, with occasional patients older than 1 year
Complex case mix includes HIE/Therapeutic Hypothermia, VLBW/ELBW (prematurity), Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, heart disease/defects, surgical neonates, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, arrhythmias, congenital birth defects, and renal failure
Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU-status patients; 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients
Day shift: 06:45–19:15
13-week contract

Requirements

Active TX RN license or compact RN license (currently in hand)
Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
Current BLS certification (AHA)
Current PALS certification (AHA)
Current NRP certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Valid driver's license required
Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced local pay rate
COVID vaccination is not required for this position
