Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Progressive Care position in Rock Island, IL, requiring at least 2 years of cardiac stepdown experience and active IL and IA RN licenses.

Details

• Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 13-week contract in a hospital stepdown/progressive care unit
• Patient ratios are 1:4–5 on days and 1:5–1:6 on nights; charge nurses factor in cardiac experience when making assignments
• Cardiac stepdown patient population
• Epic EMR; experience required
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating may be required across all campuses (Rock Island, Bettendorf, Moline, and Muscatine) within the same discipline

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license also required; if not yet active, proof of application for an Iowa single-state or compact RN license must be provided during compliance
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac stepdown/progressive care experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Supervisory professional reference or performance evaluation from within the past 2 years preferred

Additional Information

• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year's holiday windows, regardless of holidays worked
