Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 5+ years of experience and ARDMS, RDCS, or CCI-RCS certification for a 13-week contract at a major heart hospital in Ohio.

Details

• Echocardiography unit within a dedicated heart hospital
• Exams performed both portably at the bedside and in an inpatient unit, as well as in an outpatient setting, with varying degrees of patient acuity
• Ultrasound equipment includes Philips, GE, and Siemens systems
• Schedule options include 4x10-hour shifts (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM) or 5x8-hour shifts (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
• Occasional Saturday rotation approximately 2–3 times per 13-week contract, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of echocardiography experience required
• Active ARDMS, RDCS, or CCI-RCS certification required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; coworker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction
• All candidates must complete Ohio state fingerprinting promptly after accepting an offer; detailed instructions will be provided by the credentialing team
• Former employees of the facility are eligible for a travel assignment after being away for 6 months or more
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Parking is available on-site through a third-party parking management program with multiple permit options at the candidate's expense
