Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit located in a newly constructed hospital building
• Patient population includes medical/surgical and short stay cases
• Telemetry experience is preferred
• Patient ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg and short stay experience required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana — a positive result results in automatic dismissal with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could produce a positive result
• Located in Kerrville, TX — known as Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio
