Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel position in Pittsfield, MA, requiring telemetry experience and a valid MA RN license in hand.

Details

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Med/Surg unit with 20–34 beds depending on the unit
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating to any Med/Surg unit is required
• Meditech Expanse is the EMR (experience highly preferred)
• Telemetry monitoring is part of patient care on this unit

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Willingness to float to any Med/Surg unit required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Current Med/Surg skills checklist (within the past year) required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment

• Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to or at the time of consideration — no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved, and requests made after an offer is extended may result in a rescinded offer
