Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in Joplin, MO, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an active MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 11-room OR complex in a Level 2 Trauma Center hospital
- Surgical/operating room patient population
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Stryker equipment used in the OR
- Epic EMR
- Weekend hours as required by facility
- Call requirements as required by facility
- Float requirements as required by facility
- Rotating holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active RN license — must meet eligibility requirements for Missouri licensure or hold a current MO or compact state license
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
- No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
- No expiring certifications within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
Additional Information
- Ceil blue scrubs are supplied by the facility
- Flu vaccination required for all travelers working between November 1 and April 1; exemptions must be client-approved
- Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinating care with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and are subject to a reduced bill rate
- Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a minimum 1-year separation or reassignment outside the 50-mile radius is required
- The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 2 Stroke Center, and Level 2 STEMI Center
