Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Surgery Center position requiring critical care, pre-op, and PACU experience with active MO or compact licensure.
Details
- Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting within an acute care hospital
- Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke and STEMI Center designation
- Specialty focus includes critical care, pre-op, and PACU experience
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- On-call required as needed
- Floating required as needed
- EMR: Epic
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO RN license or compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS — no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal is documented
- Minimum 1 year of recent ambulatory surgery RN experience required
- Critical care, pre-op, and PACU experience required
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
- No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Involves patient and family education, including assessing educational needs and documenting learning abilities in the computerized care plan
- Responsible for developing and maintaining individualized care plans including nursing diagnoses, interventions, and outcome goals
- Performs patient handoffs using patient safety tools such as SBAR and report at bedside
- Communicates pertinent clinical findings with the multidisciplinary team and participates in physician rounds
- Participates in process improvement activities including data collection, in-services, and unit meetings
- Scrub color required: black
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
