Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position requiring 2+ years of EP Lab experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab of a hospital setting
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
- On-call requirement of 1 week every 2 months
- Performs specialized procedures including Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, Arrhythmia Induction, Baseline Measurements, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, Cardioversion, Conduction Studies, Insertion/Programming of AICDs, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure, and Pacemaker Insertion
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of EP Lab nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Skilled in EP procedures including Cardiac Mapping, Cardiac Ablation, Cardioversion, and AICD insertion/programming
- 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable for second reference; coworker references not accepted
Additional Information
- Perform electrophysiology procedures including arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, ablation, and device insertion/programming
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- RTO must be requested and built into the contract prior to submission, limited to 7 days or less
- Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible to be hired as travelers
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly upon signing contract
