Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency, with a mandatory pass/fail EKG exam required during onboarding.
Details
- 13-week travel contract on a Med/Surg Tele unit
- Primary patient population is Medical/Surgical, with additional care for observation, respiratory, palliative, end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetic, and surgical patients
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required; holiday coverage as needed
- Floating across facilities within the health system may be required
- Epic EMR — experience is mandatory
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Unit is posted as MS/Tele due to a facility-wide EKG exam requirement for all RNs, but the primary patient population is Medical/Surgical
- All RNs must pass a pass/fail EKG exam during onboarding — two attempts are allowed; candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- Previous Charge RN experience is preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
