Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of recent experience and HCHB EMR proficiency to serve a geriatric patient population in the Marshfield area.
Details
- Home health setting providing occupational therapy services to geriatric patients
- Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub
- On-call rotation required approximately every 3rd to 4th weekend
- EMR system used is HCHB (Homecare Homebase)
- OASIS experience required for staff completing Start of Care (SOC) assessments
Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapist license required (if applicable)
- License must be in-hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year of recent, relevant Home Health OT experience required
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in HCHB EMR system required
- OASIS experience required for SOC completion
- Active driver's license and personal transportation required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Additional Information
- Provide occupational therapy services to a geriatric patient population within an assigned territory
- Traveler must be flexible with territory assignments
- Timely documentation and communication are mandatory
- Scrubs required in any color, no jeans permitted
- iPad provided for use during assignment; personal cell phone not required
- Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
- Monday orientation includes completion of required training modules
- Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
- Travel pairs accepted, though each traveler will be assigned to their own territory and must have their own transportation
- Former permanent employees must be separated for a minimum of 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
