Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a home health position in the Akron, OH region, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care PT experience.
Details
- Home health setting serving the Brunswick, Lodi, Media, Seville, and Wadsworth regions
- Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- On-call one weekend every 6 weeks
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Ohio Physical Therapy State License or Ohio Compact Privileges required; license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a PT in an acute care setting
- Home care experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance with your name listed as a driver
- Strong communication skills with the ability to create positive impressions with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and problem-solving in a home care environment
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize effectively
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- All scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- Knowledge of therapy best practices and ability to make appropriate PT clinical decisions expected
