Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience for a day-shift inpatient rehabilitation unit position in Gainesville, FL.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building
- 30-bed unit staffed by a multidisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, SLPs, and techs
- Patient ratio of 7:1
- Day shift only, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekend rotation required
- SNF experience accepted
- Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
- Typical equipment includes balance systems and gait systems standard to an inpatient rehab gym
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience, with active practice within the last 6 months
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- Active PT license required where applicable
- Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient evaluations, ADLs, transfers, family and patient education, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and functional training
- This is a new hospital and unit startup
- Light gray scrubs required
