Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehab unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Inpatient Rehab unit within a 30-bed hospital setting
- Interdisciplinary team includes PT, OT, SLP, and Tech staff
- Day shift only, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Patient ratio of 7:1
- Uses Meditech (Expanse) for documentation
- Weekend call rotation required
- Typical gym equipment includes balance and gait systems
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience required
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient evaluations, ADLs, transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercise, functional training, and patient/family education
- Supports a new hospital and unit startup
- Scrub color requirement: light gray
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- First-time travelers may be considered given adaptability to a fast-paced, newly opened unit
