Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2+ years of circulating and documentation experience, with a VA or Compact RN license.

Details

• Works in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting
• Performs and assists with diagnostic and minimally invasive interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, peripheral vascular procedures, cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
• Patient population consists of cardiac and peripheral vascular patients
• Patient ratio is 3:1
• Monday through Friday day shift, 7:30am–4:00pm (5x8s)
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call requirements
• No float requirements
• EMR: Epic (required)

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA only); no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 2+ years of Cath Lab circulating and documentation experience required
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• US Social Security Number required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include reviewing patient medical history and allergies, providing pre-procedure patient education, administering conscious sedation, assisting cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cases, monitoring hemodynamics, and managing moderate to deep sedation
• Cath Lab circulating and documentation experience must be clearly reflected in work history for consideration
• Scrub color is provided by the hospital; all other attire must follow Valley Health dress code policy
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Located in Front Royal, VA — near Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, Seven Bends State Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, with easy access to Washington, D.C. (approx. 2 hours away)
