Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring both L&D and Mother Baby experience, with every other weekend and holiday availability.

Details

Work setting is a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
Candidate must be capable of caring for both labor and delivery patients as well as mother and baby (postpartum)
Shifts are 3x12-hour days, rotating between 7:00 AM–7:00 PM and 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
Every other weekend is required
No block scheduling
No on-call requirements
EMR system is Meditech

Requirements

Active PA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring
STABLE certification is strongly recommended
Prior Labor & Delivery RN experience required
Mother Baby (postpartum) nursing experience required
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained

Additional Information

Holiday coverage is required on a rotating basis
All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
13-week contract

Staff is Very friendly and helpful. They provide scrubs. Easy work.

Cons

Difficulty finding a place to stay around here. They won't schedule you in blocks and you have to find someone to switch. NOTHING to do around town- everything closes at 5.
