Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring Epic experience and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

• Work setting is a 629-bed short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Unit is Labor & Delivery within an academic teaching hospital
• Patient population includes high-risk labor cases: antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
• Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Some weekend shifts required
• No on-call required
• Block scheduling is not required
• Floating between units and across facilities within the state is expected
• Charting is done via Epic (experience required)

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
• Experience with high-risk labor and delivery required, including antepartum care, pre-eclampsia, VBAC/TOLAC, and maternal emergencies
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide active management of laboring patients, including induction/augmentation and response to maternal emergencies
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
• Former permanent staff at this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility if they are a returning former permanent employee
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
• No parking fee at this facility
