Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist at a Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI, with at least 2 years of acute or surgical experience and strong procedural skills.
Details
- Work in a Radiology department at a 636-bed, Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Milwaukee, WI
- Department includes 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, 2 clinic diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room
- Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural patients across all age ranges, with some pediatric cases
- Average caseload of 15–20 patients per tech per day
- Procedures include fluoroscopy (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, urology cases) and OR cases (ortho, general, spine)
- Equipment includes GE, Fuji, and Del Medical X-ray systems, GE 9900 and Elite C-arms, Medtronic O-arms, and McKesson PACS
- EMR: Epic
- 8-hour evening/mid shifts, Monday–Friday, with start times between 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
- Every other weekend rotation required
- One on-call shift per week required
- One holiday shift required per contract
- Floating start times; no unit floating required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute or surgical Radiology experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
- ARRT certification required
- Wisconsin Radiology license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS required
- Proficiency in surgical/procedural imaging, general radiography, and portable X-ray required
- Mid-to-high level acute care hospital experience required
- Experience with fluoroscopy procedures (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic, urology) required
- Experience with OR cases including orthopedic, general, and spine procedures required
- Experience with O-arm imaging preferred
- Epic EMR experience
- Minimum 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year required for consideration
- Candidate DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on demonstrated surgical and procedural skill level
- Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
- Local candidates are accepted
- Radiologist, RT, Hospitalist, and Intensivist are all available on-site 24/7
- Lead tech present on first shift; department staffed with 14 techs on days, 7 on evenings, and 3 on nights
- Orientation includes facility NEO followed by 7 days of department-specific training
- Surgery scrubs are provided on-site
