Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath/EP Lab position at a Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center, requiring prior cath lab experience and advanced cardiac procedure skills.

Details

• Cardiac Cath/EP Lab unit with 2 cath lab rooms, 1 EP room, and a holding area
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and 2:1
• Unit staffed with a Director, charge RN, techs, and RNs
• Uses GE fluoro, Mac Lab, Acist, Volcano, IVUS, Angiojet, and Penumbra equipment
• Documentation via Mac Lab and Meditech systems
• Schedule consists of 4x10 or 5x8 hour day shifts with late stays and on-call rotation
• May float to holding, EP lab, or other areas within scope of practice
• Procedures performed include TAVR, Watchman, PCI, peripherals, Impella, and balloon pump

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior Cardiac Cath Lab/EP experience required
• Advanced skills required in at least two of the following: EP circulating, scrubbing, or monitoring
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Work within a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center offering a full-service cardiovascular program including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology
• Scrubs provided and must follow hospital uniform dress code policy
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
